Delhi DareDevils Dilemma :(

So, IPL is on its peak, few teams at top, few at bottom, one you cant understand at all is DELHI team, lead by our superstar Sehwag, not that Sehwag is any bad when it comes to captaincy, because there is hardly any captaincy needed in 20 over game, you either have the resources or not! One more team on same path is PUNJAB, for both teams, captains are only ones getting runs, if they last till 15th over, team wins, if they cant get past 50, team sinks.

When you look at CURRENT Points Table

Teams Mat Won Lost Tied N/R Pts Net RR
Mumbai Indians 9 7 2 0 0 14 +0.635
Kolkata Knight Riders 10 6 4 0 0 12 +0.440
Chennai Super Kings 9 6 3 0 0 12 +0.292
Royal Challengers Bangalore 9 5 3 0 1 11 +0.495
Rajasthan Royals 10 5 4 0 1 11 -0.194
Kochi Tuskers Kerala 10 5 5 0 0 10 -0.394
Delhi Daredevils 10 4 6 0 0 8 -0.179
Deccan Chargers 10 3 7 0 0 6 -0.125
Kings XI Punjab 8 3 5 0 0 6 -0.898
Pune Warriors 9 2 7 0 0 4 -0.199

Kochi has only 2 guys playing Mahela and Brendon McCullum, rest of players seem passengers to me, Sreesath is busy with acting, they have finally found a new guy, good for them, Jadega is moody, to score or not depends on his mood.
So, productivity goes down when 2 are doing job of 11

Punjab sometimes gets nice start thanks to their openers, but middle order? Bowlers? More passengers!

The case study Deccans, last in 2008, champions in 2009, had to win 4 in row to make it to semis in 2010, they did! And now, totally confused!

Our topic of research - DELHI
Sehwag has Orange cap, while rest of players cant even get to half of his average or strike rate.
Can one man do job of 11? NO
The team isnt same it was 2-3 years back, the team had dashing Dilshan, Sehwag's best friend Gauti, AB DE Villiers who, I believe is equivalent to 2-3 batsmen, and the the all rounder Daniel Vettori.
It was a luxury for Sehwag and Gauti, captaincy exchanged, but now the burden is too much.

Moral - Captain alone cant win you matches, all 11 need to contribute!
